Each week in The Wild we learn exciting new things that God wants to teach us. To help kids take home and apply what they are learning we want to provide parents with some of the basics that we cover each week . Here is one way to keep important information in front of your family so that it becomes as familiar as the refrigerator door!

SECOND SUNDAY LUNCH
Second Sunday lunch is on the first Sunday this month! Come to Centennial Hall after the 11:30am service on May 6 to dig in to a free lunch and connect with other young adults that attend West Side.
GROW
GROW, our monthly young adult large-group Bible study (with dessert) will meet Saturday, May 21 in West Side’s Fireside Cafe. As usual, doors open 6:45pmish and teaching will start around 7pm. Don’t miss the chance to make some friends in the West Side young adult community and eat some killer dessert.
RECYCLE
Recycle, a monthly discussion event for Young Adults, is Friday, May 25 from 7:00-8:00pm; location TBA. This relaxed, larger-group gathering aims to take the Grow topic deeper via discussion. Bring a Bible, a friend, and a willingness to share your opinion.
SUNDAY NIGHT BASKETBALL
Join us Sunday nights in the West Side gym to play basketball 6:00pm. Bring both a black AND a white shirt to play in. It’s getting competitive, so bring your game. NO Bball ON MAY 25
This month in ClubHouse, our preschoolers are learning about doing the right thing! Preschool age children are just beginning to discover the difference between right things & wrong things. Doing the right thing is hard sometimes, but God wants us to do the right thing!
(Q) What does God want you to do?
(A) God wants me to do the right thing!
Our memory reminds us that God wants me to do the right thing:
LEARN (point finger to head)
TO DO (pound fists together twice)
WHAT IS RIGHT (put 2 big thumbs up).
ISAIAH 1:17 (hold hands in front like a book)
HOME TIP: This month,as you reinforce doing “the right thing” at home, remember to help your child apply this truth too: God loves you no matter what. When we do the right thing, God loves us. But even when we do the wrong thing, God still love us! Say this over and over as your child grows older to help them understand the overwhelming love of God.

There are a lot of exciting things on the horizon as we plan to open the new student center this August. Our student ministry team is working hard to think and dream about the future of Jr. High and High School ministry at West Side and we need your help. We want to make sure that our efforts go toward things that will best equip you and your family to thrive at West Side.
Parents, please take 10 minutes and complete this short Parent Survey. Your feedback will help us greatly as we move forward into the new year!
Students, we’ll be asking you to fill out a paper copy in the next week or two but if you miss it or would prefer to do it now, you can complete our online Student Survey instead.
Thanks for helping us take West Side Student Ministries to the next level in 2012!
